Due to the special nature of our motorcycle tours we apply the following additional- and special terms.
1 The reservation is binding for both parties when the office payment is paid. By paying the office fee the traveler accepts the general- and PeterPanBike’s additional- and special terms.
2 Terms of payment.
a) On PeterPanBike tours there is not a reservation fee. However, we charge a 50€ office fee at the time of reservation. The due date for payment of the tour is two (2) days after the end of the tour. On every tour page we display the total price excluding the office fee as is it is forbidden according to law to inform it in the total price when the due date for payment is after the tour.
b) The traveler may also pay the tour without interest in two (2) or three (3) rates. However, it has to be agreed in advance with PeterPanBike.
3 Liabilities
a) The client participates on the tour on his own liability taking into consideration his or her physical shape, health as well as driving experience and driving skills.
b) The tempo, rhythm and amount of traffic in most of our destinations are completely different from Finland or Europe. PeterPanBike drives in all destinations according to local habits and rules and is not liable for possible damage caused by a client to himself/herself or a third party.
c) During the tour the client has to have a valid travel insurance that covers bodily injuries. The clients luggage are always his/her own liability.
d) The client always rides on his own liability and is liable for possible damages to the rented motorcycle. On North-American tours the motorcycle insurance is included in the tour price. In Asia sometimes it is not even possible to insure the motorcycle. Possible compensations are also in different levels, i.e. in the US the own liability of a Harley Davidson is as big as the value of a motorcycle in Cambodia.
e) PeterPanBike is liable for local travel arrangements in the destination.
f) The airlines are liable for passengers only during the flight according to IATA-companies’ transport terms.
4 Cancellation of tour
a) If a client cancels a tour 59-30 days before the start date PeterPanBike invoices possible pre-payments done for motorcycle reservations to partners that cannot be cancelled. The client may move the 50€ office fee to another tour during the time of cancellation.
a.1) On Route66, Highway1 and Kiwi tours we must pay the bike rentals 2 months in advance without a possibility of a refund. On these tours the non-refundable reservation fee is 2000€, which we have to invoice if your cancellation comes later than 59 days before start date. If you have valid travel insurance and the reason for canceling is an accident, death or serious illness of a near relative or your illness from which you have a doctor’s certification, the travel insurance covers the canceling costs.
b) If the client cancels a trip 29-14 days before the start date PeterPanBike invoices tour organization- and reservation costs at 25% of the full price.
c) If the client cancels a trip 13 days – 48 h before the start date PeterPanBike invoices 50% of the full price.
d) If the client cancels a trip later than 48 h before the start date PeterPanBike invoices 100% of the full price.
e) If the client does not have continuously valid travel insurance we recommend buying travel insurance so that it is valid at least 2 days before the beginning of the tour. The travel insurance covers cancellation costs in case the cancellation is done due to you own or a near relatives serious illness, accident or death of a near relative.
f) If PeterPanBike must cancel a tour, the 50€ office fee will be returned unless the client wishes to move his reservation to another tour. Flights: see paragraph 5.
5 Flight tickets and regular flights to destination
a) PeterPanBike does not sell flight tickets. The client is responsible for reserving and paying the flight. The client shall reserve the flight after PeterPanBike has confirmed the realization of the tour by phone or e-mail. If the client reserves the flight before receiving confirmation PeterPanBike is not responsible for possible costs caused by the unused flight.
b) If the tour is not realized for some reason even if PeterPanBike has confirmed it, PeterPanBike will cover the costs borne from the client’s flights.
c) PeterPanBike’s tour official start- and endpoint is always the first and last day’s hotel or destination country’s airport according to the program.
d) PeterPanBike’s partner, which sells flight tickets sends an offer to the client with suitable so called assumption flights that the client either accepts or rejects.
6 Number of participants
a) PeterPanBike’s motorcycle tours group size is 6-10 motorcycles. If there are less than 6 participants we reserve the right to cancel the tour.
We will inform about a possible cancellation latest 31 days before the beginning of the trip.
b) If the realization of the tour seems unsure when the client is reserving, PeterPanBike always informs the client to avoid unnecessary flight reservations. PeterPanBike will inform the client immediately when it is safe for the client to reserve the flight.
7 Possible changes
We reserve the rights to changes. We are not liable for changes that may occur for reasons not depending on us after publishing the trip. This concerns destination countries’ political turmoil, possible disease epidemics, flights, natural catastrophes, dramatic currency fluctuations and the like. We can be forced to increase to country package’s price or to move departure- and arrival times. We only do price changes in exceptional cases |
